If you want to hang with the cool crowd, chances are they’re in Williamsburg and clamoring to get into The Hoxton. This summer, the buzzy European hospitality brand is launching its first hotel stateside on Wythe Avenue, and has plans to hit the West Coast in Portland, Oregon, and Los Angeles next.
Bespoke linens by Brooklyn-based Dusen Dusen are a focal point of The Hoxton, Williamsburg’s guest rooms; a Bluetooth speaker disguised as an old-school radio adds to the retro yet modern feel; brass fixtures in the bathrooms are simple and chic.
While Williamsburg’s edition of The Hoxton’s 175 guest rooms are sure to give off the same retro-cool vibes as its London, Paris and Amsterdam counterparts—with chic brass and velvet accents, and gritty details like concrete ceilings—its focus will be on lively public spaces. Upping the cool factor, a collab with BrightSide Hospitality will bring elevated F&B to the forefront of The Hoxton, Williamsburg’s offerings. Brooklyn restaurateurs Jud Mongell of Five Leaves and Zeb Stewart of Cafe Colette, Union Pool and Hotel Delmano will be on hand to dish out American favorites with a never-fussy twist.
