Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake might not be native New Yorkers, but they’ve certainly plunked down some roots in the city. It was revealed last year that they swapped their Soho penthouse for a Tribeca mansion in the sky and are loving their Big Apple life as much as possible.
“New York is a vibrant place and it’s dynamic in its culture,” Biel told Gotham at the The American Express Experience on April 9 at Industria celebrating the launch of the Live Life Moments campaign. “Anything that you want, you can find it. Some small, strange, nichey kind of art? You can find it. Fashion? Educational stuff? You can just have anything you want in this city and it’s alive. That is what I love about it.”
Of course, now that the couple has three-year-old son Silas, their favorite Manhattan activities are a bit more kid-focused these days. “One of my favorite spots here is this amazing carousel, the [SeaGlass Carousel]. We call it the fishy carousel,” added the 36-year-old. “It’s magical and cool.”
The Sinner star also claimed the Natural History Museum and Central Park as some of her top spots when she’s in town and has been spotted dining at Bubby’s in her neighborhood. And like a true New Yorker, Biel opts for the subway over black car service.
“We love riding the subway,” she said. “My kid loves it and I love it too. I don't like sitting in traffic. I am tired of the car. It’s a lot faster. It’s the best!”
Although Biel was in town for the AMEX event, she will have to wait to enjoy some of her NYC favorites as the actress is currently on a world tour with her hubby through January.
