The Look: The stage at Vera Wang was inspired by Alice in Wonderland with oversize trompe l'oeil doorframes and moldings. The collection itself also took a turn into the realm of fantasy—a departure from Wang’s signature crowd-pleasing dresses. The show opened with layered white looks with parachute silk and continued with a parade of pistachios, yellows and pinks. Sculpted cotton piqué vests contrasted gauzy, flowing layers, and architectural stilettos grounded the collection. The overall effect was dreamy and reminiscent of Prada’s woodland fairies of 2008—a new perspective for the designer, but enchanting nonetheless.
