1 - Caviar Flows at FireBird

Classic Russian restaurant FireBird will launch a new caviar menu this Thursday, July 19, in honor of National Caviar Day (July 18). From 5 to 7 PM, for $100 per person, guests can order unlimited one-ounce portions from a menu of seven fine caviars. Among those offered is the rare Grinnel caviar, which boasts a black aubergine color and lemony flavor. Tastings will be served along with traditional accoutrements, such as blini, red onion, and crème fraîche, as well as bottomless Champagne cocktails, vodka served in ice-cold flutes, Moscow Mules, and more.

You couldn’t ask for a more appropriate setting for unlimited caviar than FireBird, a two-story townhouse in Hell’s Kitchen that evokes the old-world opulence of St. Petersburg, Russia. Decorated by Baroness Irina von der Launitz, the restaurant is named for the beloved Russian ballet by Stravinsky.

In addition to the special caviar offerings, you’ll find over 200 bottles of vodka, a full dinner menu, a prix fixe pre-theater menu, crystal chandeliers, a garden terrace, and the costumes from the original 1910 production of Firebird. The unlimited caviar menu will be offered every Thursday from 5 to 7 PM. Reservations are recommended. 365 W. 46th St., 212-586-0244
