This week, if you find yourself shopping along Madison Avenue, you’ll likely notice some festive window displays at some of your favorite luxury brands.

That’s because the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District has partnered with the American Ballet Theatre to bring the company’s 2018 Fall Season to life. Participating boutiques located between 57th and 86th Streets have created exquisite window displays and in-store exhibitions that incorporate ballet costumes and memorabilia from the theatre company’s 78-year history.
Historic costumes from theatre classics like Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet will be featured at participating retailers including De Beers, Akris, Alice + Olivia, Edie Parker, Brunello Cucinelli and Lalique, whose windows are inspired by the Harlequiande costumes from ABT’s production and feature select crystal pieces from the Hirondelles collection that celebrates Lalique’s 130th Anniversary.

“American Ballet Theatre on Madison Avenue” is free and open to the public, benefiting ABT’s Costume Fund, which supports the creation of new costumes and the restoration and revitalization of ABT’s vast collection.
