Daniel Boulud's Official Oscar Party at Daniel
February 24, 6:30 p.m.
As the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' only official New York viewing party for friends and family, Daniel’s private Oscar soirée, hosted by the Academy's New York program director, Patrick Harrison, features a special menu created by chef Boulud himself. Hors d'oeuvres named after famous films include Life of Pi (tiger shrimp samosa with tandori, hearts of palm), Amour (duck and apple with cranberry gelée), and Royal Affair (smoked sturgeon, caraway potato, aquavit gelée, caviar crème fraiche). Like the A-list awards ceremony itself, Daniel’s party is by invitation only and promises to be celeb-studded (think Angela Bassett and Christine Ebersol). 60 E. 65th St., 212-288-0033; danielnyc.com
