An Instant Facelift at The Peninsula Spa

Micro-currency, yoga-like massage, and a frozen serum leaves skin fresh and taught as C.S. Lewis' Snow Queen.
The Peninsula Spa and Biologique Recherche turn back the clock with the new Cryo 3R Facial.
This winter's miracle facial is at the candle-lit Peninsula Spa. Clocking in at 90 blissful minutes, the Cryo 3R facial ($350) includes a micro-current application, a cadre of Biologique Recherche products (including a "frozen serum"), a massage described as "yoga for the face," and an ice-cold, mummy-like mask application. The results are instant—lifting, smoothing, plumping, glowing.
A studied approach to anti-aging for mature skin, the Cryo 3R is the first new facial from the French skincare company in over a year. Tapped into clinical and holistic approaches to skincare, Biologique Recherche uses a high concentration of marine, botanical, and biological ingredients in its products, ones whose efficacy is boosted tremendously when combined with the company's signature Remodeling Face Machine, which uses a micro-current-charged wand to deliver an instant facelift. But the Peninsula Spa's Cryo 3R takes these anti-aging wonders one step further, adding expert "facial yoga massage" (for lifting and drainage), a frozen 12-ingredient serum to promote cell regeneration, and an ice-cold, gel-like mask. (The mask is the crowning layer on top of a cocktail of products and soft cloths, so as not to be too cold.)
A micro-current massage activates products, plumps skin, and boosts cell regeneration.
By the end of the facial, skin feels refreshed, taught, and radiant, like the dewy winter skin of C.S. Lewis' Snow Queen. Following treatments at The Peninsula Spa, guests can unwind in the pillowy relaxation room, with chilled coconut water and healthful snacks, take a dip in the heated rooftop pool, or sit a spell in the tea room—we highly recommend a cup of the organic oolong.
