A classic Pisco Sour
This Saturday and Sunday, head to Sushi Samba for a weekend of Pisco cocktails from Pisco Portón, Peru’s premier Pisco distiller. In celebration of Peruvian Independence Day, which dates back to 1824, when Peru won its independence from Spain, Sushi Samba will offer four specialty drinks. Options include the zesty Chicha Sour, made with chichi morada, cinnamon syrup, and organic egg white; the crisp Pisco-jito, made with mint, fresh lime, and house made mint syrup; and the refreshing Peruvian Thyme of Portón, made with house made thyme syrup, elderflower liqueur and fresh lime juice. And, it wouldn’t be a true Peruvian celebration without a classic Pisco Sour (ABOVE) made with Portón, egg white and lime.
