Vera Wang The Look: The stage at Vera Wang was inspired by Alice in Wonderland with oversize trompe l'oeil doorframes and moldings. The collection itself also took a turn into the realm of fantasy—a departure from Wang’s signature crowd-pleasing dresses. The show opened with layered white looks with parachute silk and continued with a parade of pistachios, yellows and pinks. Sculpted cotton piqué vests contrasted gauzy, flowing layers, and architectural stilettos grounded the collection. The overall effect was dreamy and reminiscent of Prada’s woodland fairies of 2008—a new perspective for the designer, but enchanting nonetheless. Models: Arizona Muse, Daphne Groeneveld, Hanne Gaby Odiele Beauty: Hair was given a center part and matted back into an untied, low ponytail. Faces were beachy and lightly bronzed. Music: Melodic tick-tock beats inspired, no doubt, by Alice’s white rabbit and his pocket watch. Front Row: Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, Kim Kardashian, Serena Williams, Robbie Myers, Joe Zee—AMANDA WEINER
