The first Italian male principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre, Roberto Bolle created a stir of excitement for the New York spring season with stellar performances of Romeo and Juliet, Lady of the Camellias, Swan Lake and La Bayadère at the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center. Bolle also captured the attention of the fashion world, garnering ad campaigns for luxury European fashion houses such as Ferragamo and American classics including the GAP. As a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador, his humanitarian efforts have touched the lives of many. “I gladly do this to bring greater attention to dance,” he says about his offstage associations.
