The Latest Styles
They may not show at Fashion Week, but the creative team at Sassoon unveils a new collection of signature cut and color techniques every season. Inspired by technology and 60s optical art, Sassoon’s spring/summer lineup consists of six modern looks and the new Parabola color technique, wherein color is applied in curved sections for a more harmonious, natural look. Look for Twiggy-esque pixie cuts, banged bobs and (our favorite) the long bob or “lob,” with a bit of extra length in the front. 7 W. 56th St., 212-535-9200; sassoon.com

Futuristic Facial
We recently stopped into Paul Labrecque Salon & Spa for our very first laser treatment, care of the lovely Carmen Tosado—Labrecque’s resident laser specialist. Tosado’s new 3D Facial ($1,000 for 90 minutes) begins with a cleanse using Biologique Recherche’s cult-favorite Lotion P50 and exfoliation with a diamondtipped microdermabrasion wand. Next up was the Laser Genesis, which felt like a sunbath and brightened a few dark spots that its topical counterparts had yet to clear up. Tosado gave fair warning before applying the “slightly less gentle” collagen plumping Laser Titan and kindly noted that she could reduce the intensity at any point. To our surprise, apart from a pinch here and there, the Titan was virtually pain-free. Best of all, the bundled price of the 3D Facial is $675 less than buying each service á la carte. 171 E. 65th St., 212-988-7816; paullabrecque.com

Deep Conditioning
We are regular, every-five-week color junkies. And as much as we adore the results, even we have to admit that it isn’t the kindest way to treat our hair. So we weren’t at all insulted when Fekkai Soho star colorist Kim Ruszczyk looked at our ends and gently suggested that a conditioning treatment was in order. We tried the new multistep Color Radiance Treatment ($50), which protects the color we’ve kept up with so diligently. Days later, our curly hair was still soft and shiny and even a little more tame. 394 West Broadway, 212-888-2600; fekkai.com
