Born from the ashes of the Great New York Fire of 1835, 55 Wall Street has lived through many incarnations over its 175-year history. Designed by Isaiah Rogers (Astor House) and expanded by the architectural firm McKim, Mead & White (Columbia University, the Morgan Library & Museum), the Greek Revival building was built on the original site of the Merchants Exchange, the heart and soul of Wall Street’s burgeoning business community.

Today, the landmark building houses The Cipriani Club and Residences, 106 beautifully appointed apartments that perfectly complement the Cipriani brand. Amenities include butler and housekeeping services, personal shopping, a rooftop garden and, naturally, priority access to the on-site Cipriani restaurant, providing exactly the sort of effi ciency—and luxury—that New York’s earliest moguls would’ve appreciated.
