It is a very hard note to strike, but Rivera managed to be fresh faced and youthful and wear serious couture fashion at the same time. As a woman, I appreciate how Donna Karan brilliantly understands the feminine form. Just a touch of sheer on the bodice can be very elegant.

There isn't a woman in Hollywood who carries off a gown as it’s meant to be worn like Sofia Vergara. She allows a dress to be a dress and accessorizes it with her curves and breathtaking beauty. She looked long and lean in lamé.

Naomi Watts in Marchesa
We should all be so lucky as to age this gracefully. Watts' dress appeared painted on her tiny frame, and her alabaster skin looked luminous with a simple but strong red lip.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture
I have long preferred navy over black for eveningwear. Notice how the hue brings out the color of Lawrence's eyes. (Her makeup was perfection as well.) She is the face of French fashion house Dior and she wears their dresses beautifully. And the Chopard diamond pairing was perfection.

Kerry Washington in Rodarte
Washington pulled off the only perfect ponytail of the evening. Between the bejeweled bodice of her dress and pieces from Fred Leighton, she looked absolutely elegant and balanced.

Amanda Seyfried in Zac Posen
The hair, the doe eyes, the dress—and that necklace. When you wear a gown that provides a beautiful canvas for jewelry, wear it. Lorraine Schwartz is a proponent of bold pieces, and I am as well. As for the dress, Posen is all about cut and fit, and Seyfried knows how to carry that off.

Few designers can create a gold dress that doesn't look the least bit gauche. De la Renta (a Garner favorite) knows the actress' body and Garner knows how to let a de la Renta shine. She kept her accessories, hair, and makeup subtle, which was smart.

Freida Pinto in Roland Mouret
Pinto's skin tone is meant for hot pink. Others at the awards wore the hue, but Pinto looked modern with a cinched waist and barely there black belt. In a monotone crowd, she stood out in Roland Mouret.

Julianne Moore in Chanel Haute Couture
The detail work on Moore's Chanel Couture gown was astonishing, and it provided texture, which few other gowns did at the SAG Awards. Her beautiful, wavy red hair against the striking white slinky gown was sublime.

Tina Fey in Oscar de la Renta
Tina Fey has really become a fashion "do" over the years. We rely on her for smart choices and dresses we as women envy and want in our wardrobes. It's that perfect Oscar de la Renta dress. It didn't break fashion barriers, but in an evening of some serious misses, it took a solid spot in my top ten.

Best-Dressed Man
The SAG Awards’ best-dressed man was Bradley Cooper in Tom Ford. Cooper can do no wrong in my eyes and, frankly, in the eyes of most women. And to top it off he wore Tom Ford. There really isn't much more to be said!
