Nearly 700 white-gloved guests waltzed the night away at the 58th annual Viennese Opera Ball in the Grand Ballroom at the Waldorf Astoria on February 1, 2013. Benefiting Carnegie Hall, the evening featured the music of Peter Duchin’s 22-piece orchestra and performances by the dazzling Vienna State Ballet, including puppetry from the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre and opera from the Metropolitan Opera. As per tradition, the night ended with a whirlwind midnight quadrille.
