The Paris Review will launch a series of literary salons beginning tonight at The Strand (7 PM). Actress Martha Plimpton (Raising Hope) will read from Dorothy Parker's 1957 interview with the magazine and actor Wallace Shawn (The Princess Bride) will read Denis Johnson's Car-Crash While Hitchhiking. The price of admission is the purchase of The Paris Review's summer issue or a $15 Strand gift card. The summer issue features fiction from Ann Beattie and Sam Lipsyte, essays by Ludmilla Petrushevskaya, Rich Cohen, J.D.
