Upper East Side museum of German and Austrian art the Neue Galerie is honoring one of its most popular artists, Gustav Klimt, on the 150th anniversary of his birth, with a gold leaf cake. The museum's popular restaurant, Café Sabarsky, created the "Klimt cake," made of chocolate and hazelnut and topped with metallic gold to reflect the artist's paintings. The cake coincides with the upcoming "Gustav Klimt 150th Anniversary Celebration" (May 24 to August 27) exhibit, in which the museum will show Klimt's major paintings along with never-before-seen personal photographs of the artist. 1048 Fifth Ave. at 86th St.
