Dinner Plans: Father's Day at Neely's
Neely’s Barbecue Parlor devotes a day to dad with three meat-centric prix frixes.
June 08, 2012

In honor of Father's Day (June 17), Neely's Barbecue Parlor will be serving not one, not two, but three prix fixe menus. The Barbecue King's Special ($99) includes the refreshing Dad’s Day Off Cocktail (Jack Daniel’s, blackberry and mint), jumbo barbecued shrimp, a 30-ounce bone-in ribeye with hickory-smoked spare ribs and two sides, and a grilled banana split with Jack Daniel’s honey cream.
Slightly less decadent is the 18-ounce bone-in ribeye prix fixe ($59), which includes a bacon, blue cheese, and fried onion iceberg wedge salad, steak, ribs, and sides, and grilled cornmeal pound cake with summer fruit compote. Finally, for fish fans, a seafood prix fixe ($49) promises honey-glazed shrimp with rocket salad, grilled swordfish with red pepper coulis and pineapple red onion relish, and Mississippi mud pie with Kahlua cream.
If dad's not into the prix fixe approach, executive chef Wade Burch will also serve a 36-ounce bone-in ribeye with hickory-smoked ribs. Sides include grilled corn on the cobb with chili butter and a grilled three potato salad. 1125 First Ave., 212-832-1551
