City Grit Hosts Local Rosé Dinner
Reserve your spot for a five-course summer supper with local rosé pairings.
June 19, 2012

Recently opened culinary salon City Grit will host a New York Rosé Dinner ($85) next Thursday, June 28 as part of Edible magazine's Eat Drink Local Week (June 23-June 30). Chef Sarah Simmons will prepare a five-course menu paired with New York's most compelling rosé wines, including Bridgehampton-based Channing Daughters’ Rosato di Refosco and Sheldrake Point’s Cabernet Franc from the Finger Lakes.
The menu includes deviled eggs, porgy fritters, a salad of baby spinach with pecan-crusted goat cheese, a main course of braised goat, and strawberry shortcake for dessert, with a different rosé served with each course.
City Grit is the brainchild of chef Simmons and her business partner Jeremie Kittredge. The supper club seats 70 people and constantly hosts exciting food events at its Nolita space. For reservations, visit citygritnyc.com. 38 Prince St.
