A Watch for the Wordy Set
At the touch of a button, Biegert & Funk’s forthcoming QLOCKTWO W watch spells out what time it is.
April 27, 2012

The future of watches gets dialed back with this wordy QLOCKTWO W watch ($725) by German brand Biegert & Funk. Based on the technology used for its already popular wall clock, the brand’s first foray into wristwatches tells time through a grid of 110 letters that illuminate at the touch of a button to spell "it is half past twelve," or "twenty til eleven." The watch, which won’t be available until later this fall, is being offered in both English and German language. The sleek timepiece is available in brushed or black stainless steel with either a leather or rubber strap. If you can’t wait for fall, you can always purchase the wall model, which begins at $1,110.
